Unlikely Sightings

The National Museum Park of Cancun, in Isla Mujeres and Pinta Nizuc, thought statues of people on the bottom of the ocean floor would be a good way to protect the ecosystem of the Caribbean waters. They're hoping the artificial reef will attract tourists and give the natural reefs a break. I guess, aesthetically, it looks better than dumping old tires and abandoned subway cars in the water. However, the sight of people standing like frozen souls on the seafloor---covered in algae with little fishes chewing on the faces---looks more like a ghostly apparition of a sunken ship. Or, is it symbolic of nature taking a bite back out of humanity.
